Syd Field and Rakyesh Mehra to make PK5

Syd Field, described by CNN as “the guru of all screenwriters”, is in India on invitation by UTV to conduct screenwriting workshop & seminar to be held in Mumbai in January 2007. When asked about the role of a script writer, Field replies “Just like a doctor, a script doctor goes into the screen play finds what is weak, what is strong and tries to bring them together to create a stronger total effect in the movie and the storyline.”
Since Field is in India, is he planning to work on an Indian Film? “I am working with Rakeysh Mehra on a UTV film together” replies Syd Field. “It is an Indian film, with a big adventurous story.” The project is currently titled PK5, which is the working title of the film.
