For his film Teri Meri Kahaani, director Kunal Kohli has left no stone unturned to recreate sets of the bygone era. While for the 1910 track, he created a set of a village in pre-independent Pakistan called Sargoda at Madh Island, for the 1960's segment, Kunal and his art director Muneesh Sappel had to go through the complex task of recreating Mumbai in the 1960s.
- As Mumbai has changed a lot since 1960s, Kunal along with Muneesh, used VFX to make the changes. They made a set in Mumbai’s Film City of tramlines, as trams were the mode of transport back then in Mumbai, and added the famous theatre Maratha Mandir in the backdrop with VFX.
