Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, which was directed by Luv Ranjan, debuted on Holi and made over Rs. 15 crore in its first weekend. It features multiple dance numbers and is a twisted romantic comedy.

Alia Bhatt will next be seen in Karan Johar's Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani alongside Ranveer Singh, Dharmendra, Jaya Bachchan and Shabana Azmi. The film recently got wrapped and will hit theatres on July 28, 2023. She also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Baiju Bawra and director Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa alongside Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra. Apart from this, she will mark her Hollywood debut with Heart of Stone.
