The Indian film industry is witnessing spectacular fireworks show at the box office, with the recent release of Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif starrer Tiger 3. Not only has the film lived up to the colossal expectations set by its predecessors, but it has also achieved a remarkable milestone by crossing the Rs. 100 cr mark within record time. In fact, this immense collection rate is being attributed not just to Salman’s fan following, but the film as well as the release pattern and the promotions that have built quite a bit of hype around the release.
Interestingly, collecting Rs. 101 cr in just two days of its release, Tiger 3 has now matched the record-breaking pace of Shah Rukh Khan starrers Jawan and Pathaan, both of which had entered the Rs. 100 Crore Club within a lightning-fast two days of release. Besides these, the Hindi dubbed version of the Yash starrer KGF Chapter 2 had also managed to cross the Rs. 100 cr mark within two days of its release.
Currently, Tiger 3, which has received rave reviews from the critics and audience alike, continues to roar in theatres. In fact, advance trade predictions claim that the business of the film is sure to see further growth as the festive season continues.
