The Vvaan: Force of the Forrest has entered the list of notable theatrical performers of 2026 after collecting a revised Rs. 31.94 crore India net in its opening weekend.
The Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia starrer, which released on September 25, witnessed growth over the three-day period and has particularly benefited from mass centres and non-national chains. Trade analyst Taran Adarsh noted the film's strong performance in Tier 2 and Tier 3 centres, with single screens also contributing to its opening.
At Rs. 31.94 crore, The Vvaan currently sits below the year's biggest opening-weekend performers, led by Dhurandhar The Revenge with Rs. 443 crore. It also trails Spider-Man: Brand New Day (English) at Rs. 257.60 crore, Border 2 at Rs. 129.89 crore, Toxic at Rs. 116.48 crore, Mirzapur: The Movie at Rs. 90.95 crore, Dhamaal 4 at Rs. 64.35 crore, Welcome To The Jungle at Rs 63.47 crore, The Odyssey at Rs. 56.85 crore and Bhooth Bangla at Rs. 54.50 crore.
However, The Vvaan has opened ahead of several other notable releases of the year. Its Rs. 31.94 crore weekend is Rs. 23.16 crore higher than Resident Evil's Rs. 8.78 crore, Rs. 25.36 crore above Vibe's Rs. 6.58 crore and Rs. 28.20 crore ahead of Daayra's Rs. 3.74 crore.
The revised figure therefore places The Vvaan among the stronger opening weekends recorded by Hindi films in 2026, although the gap between the film and the year's major blockbusters remains substantial.
The next major indicator will be the Monday hold. With the opening weekend now standing at Rs. 31.94 crore, the film's weekday trajectory will determine how much further it can climb in the 2026 box-office rankings.
