The Hrithik Roshan starrer Super 30 released a week back and since then the film has been doing rather well at the box office. Directed by Vikas Bahl, Super 30 which is based on the life of mathematician Anand Kumar has been well received by the audience, a fact that has been reflected in its box office collections.
In this box office analysis, we take a look at the opening week collections of Super 30 while comparing the same to previous releases of 2019. Collecting Rs. 75.85 cr, Super 30 has managed to surpass the first week collections of Kalank that had collected Rs. 73.7 cr to become the sixth highest opening week grosser of 2019. Besides Kalank, the business of Super 30 has managed to surpass other releases as well, like Uri – The Surgical Strike that collected Rs. 70.94 cr, De De Pyaar De that collected Rs. 61.05 cr, and Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi that collected Rs. 58.95 cr.
However, the collections of Super 30 do not manage to out beat the business of certain other releases like Bharat that collected Rs. 180.05 cr, Kabir Singh that collected Rs. 134.42 cr, Kesari that collected Rs. 105.86 cr, Gully Boy that collected Rs. 100.3 cr, and Total Dhamaal that collected Rs. 94.55 cr.
Now all that remains to be seen is, whether Super 30 that continues to run in theatres will eventually emerge as one of this year’s highest grossers.
