The Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi, directed by Rohit Shetty hit screens after a rather long wait. The film while also features Katrina Kaif and special appearances from Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn has become the first big ticket Bollywood entertainer to release in theatres since they were shut after the Covid-19 pandemic. Trade experts opine that the 50% occupancy restriction in markets like Maharashtra, which usually make up for approximately 20% of a film’s collections is the reason behind the business of Sooryavanshi not surpassing Akshay’s other releases. In fact, with states like Punjab permitting 100% occupancy, future predictions of the film’s business claim that the collections of Sooryavanshi will definitely see immense growth.
