The Ranbir Kapoor starrer Animal hit screens last week on Friday to a thunderous response from the audience. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga the film that also stars Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna came with immense hype and anticipation. Living up to the same, Animal that witnessed a stellar rate of advance bookings opened with a bang. Now after raking in Rs. 54.75 cr. on its opening day the business of Animal has continued to see an upward trend in business over its opening weekend.
In fact, Animal, which managed to draw in a further Rs. 58.37 cr. on its first Saturday and a further Rs. 63.46 cr. on its first Sunday, has now emerged as the first Hindi release to collect over Rs. 50 cr. on three consecutive days. Interestingly, the business of Animal has managed to achieve this record, with collections from only the Hindi version of the film, as compared to previous releases like Jawan and Pathaan. This stellar box office run is attributed to the fact that the film managed to entice audience with each new asset release. In fact, trade is ecstatic with the performance of Animal, which despite being a non-holiday release has managed to set the box office window on fire.
Currently, Animal that has received positive reviews and good audience feedback is expected to hold steady at the box office over its first week. With collections pegged at Rs. 176.58 cr. (Hindi only) Animal is expected to cross the Rs. 200 cr. mark in Hindi this week.
