The Yash starrer KGF – Chapter 2 has been doing roaring business at the box office. After enjoying a brilliant opening weekend and first week, the business of the film saw growth yet again on its second weekend. Interestingly, the film emerged as the audiences’ first choice in theatres despite the new release, Jersey hitting screens.
In this box office report, we look at the second-weekend collections of KGF – Chapter 2 while comparing the same to the previous release of 2022. Collecting Rs. 52.49 cr KGF 2 does not manage to surpass the business of The Kashmir Files which had collected Rs. 70.15 cr. In fact, KGF 2 emerges as the second-highest second weekend grosser of 2022. However, the business of the film has managed to post better collections than other releases like RRR which collected Rs. 52 cr, Gangubai Kathiawadi which collected Rs. 23.29 cr, Badhaai Do which collected Rs. 4.29 cr, Jhund which collected Rs. 2.60 cr, and Attack - Part I which collected Rs. 1.43 cr.
Going forward it is expected that the business of KGF – Chapter 2 will maintain its current trend at the box office. In fact, the film which has raked in Rs. 321.12 cr could easily rival the lifetime collections of the Aamir Khan starrer Dangal which had collected Rs. 387.38 cr.
