About the video
The official trailer for MAGAZINE is here.
A new Marathi story arrives in cinemas on 23 October 2026.
Written and directed by Shubham Sanjay Shevade, MAGAZINE is a contemporary Marathi film that explores home, youth, friendship and the unexpected journey of finding your way back to where you began.
At its heart is a Gen Z perspective on a question that crosses generations:
What does it really mean to return home?
Set against the landscapes of rural Maharashtra, MAGAZINE follows a young city-bred protagonist whose journey to his ancestral village becomes an unexpected encounter with friendship, family, memory and a life far removed from the one he knows.
Bringing together three new voices and three experienced actors, the film hopes to build a conversation between generations — on screen and beyond.
Independently made by Shubham Sanjay Shevade and Aparna Kulkarni, MAGAZINE was developed and produced alongside their professional careers, taking almost three years to journey from an idea to the screen.
The film has travelled beyond Maharashtra, receiving appreciation at screenings in Berlin, Stuttgart, Sydney and cities across India. Now, after its festival journey, MAGAZINE returns to its roots — to meet audiences across Maharashtra.
This October, some journeys don't take you somewhere new. They bring you back to where you belong.
Starring Raghav Vartak, Dr. Nilesh Mane, Sudarshan Deshmukh, Vedika Kulkarni,
Special appearance: Atul Parchure, Shivaji Satam and Kishore Kadam
