The Vipul Shah production The Kerala Story starring Adah Sharma released over a week ago. Directed by Sudipto Sen the film which took off on a decent note continued to see its business growth over its first week. Now, on its second weekend running The Kerala Story has managed to hold its own at the box office, managing to register rather surprising collections.
In this box office report, we look at the second weekend collections of The Kerala Story while comparing the same to previous releases of 2023. Collecting Rs. 55.60 cr. on its second weekend the film has emerged as the second highest second weekend grosser coming in just behind the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Pathaan which had collected Rs. 65.75 cr. Not surprisingly, given the buzz surrounding The Kerala Story the film has managed to surpass the second weekend collections of previous releases like Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar which collected Rs. 16.70 cr, Bholaa which collected Rs. 11.42 cr, and Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan which had collected Rs. 9.50 cr.
As of now, The Kerala Story continues to run in theatres. Despite facing opposition in certain territories, trade predictions state that the business of the film will continue to see growth as the days progress.
