The Vivek Agnihotri directorial The Kashmir Files starring Anupam Kher has been unstoppable at the box office since its release. After a modest start with Rs. 3.55 cr coming in the business of the film witnessed exponential growth over its opening weekend and opening week as well. Now in its second week running the film has managed to sustain its momentum at the box office despite the Akshay Kumar film Bachchhan Paandey hitting screens. In fact, The Kashmir Files has managed to cross the Rs. 200 cr mark in just 13 days of its release.
Collecting Rs. 200.13 cr, The Kashmir Files has now become the first film for Vivek Agnihotri that has managed to enter this highly coveted club. With this, Agnihotri will join the likes of Sooraj Barjatiya, Sajid Nadiadwala, Rakesh Roshan, and other directors who each have one film that has made it past the Rs. 200 cr mark. As for the film, The Kashmir Files shares its spot with the Shahid Kapoor starrer Kabir Singh that collected Rs. 206.48 cr in 13 days of its release.
Currently, The Kashmir Files still continues to dominate the box office, but with the SS Rajamouli directed film RRR slated to hit screens on Friday, it is likely to see a dip in collections. However, despite this trade predictions state that the business of The Kashmir Files will continue to see growth.
