The Vivek Agnihotri directed film The Kashmir Files featuring Anupam Kher was released a while back, and since then the film has been unstoppable at the box office. After opening on a decent note, the business of The Kashmir Files witnessed immense growth with each passing day, surpassing expectations and setting new records. Now after a week-long run at the box office, the total collections of the film are gradually approaching the Rs. 200 cr mark. In fact, predictions state that The Kashmir Files could easily see its business cross this much-coveted mark by the end of its second week in theatres.
Living up to expectations, The Kashmir Files has raked in Rs. 200.13 cr in just 13 days of its release. If that wasn’t enough, The Kashmir Files is now the first film of 2022 to cross Rs. 200 cr, while also being the 12th all-time fastest film to achieve this milestone. In fact, The Kashmir Files has managed to out beat previous releases like the Salman Khan starrer Bharat that took 14 days to cross Rs. 200 cr, the Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior that took 15 days, the Shah Rukh Khan starrer Chennai Express that took 15, and of course the Aamir Khan starrer 3 Idiots that took 110 days to achieve this mark.
As of now, The Kashmir Files continues to run in theatres remaining as the audiences’ first choice despite the new release hitting screens. In fact, trade predictions state that if the film maintains its current momentum it is likely to cross the Rs. 250 cr mark as well in the coming days.
