After a modest opening day, the business of the film witnessed exponential growth fast achieving Rs. 100 cr at the box office. Now on its second Tuesday running The Kashmir Files has managed yet another feat with a further Rs. 10.25 cr more coming in.
In this box office report, we take a look at the second Tuesday collections of The Kashmir Files while comparing the same to previous releases that have made it this far. Collecting Rs. 10.25 cr, The Kashmir Files manages to become the third all-time highest second Tuesday grosser surpassing previous releases like the Aamir Khan starrer PK that collected Rs. 9.11 cr, the Salman Khan starrer Bajrangi Bjaijaan that collected Rs. 9.1 cr, and the Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji – The Unsung Warrior that collected Rs. 7.72 cr. Besides these films, the business of The Kashmir Files has also managed to surpass other releases like Kabir Singh which collected Rs. 8.31 cr, Sanju that collected Rs. 7.90 cr, Tiger Zinda Hai that collected Rs. 7.83 cr, and Dhoom 3 that had collected Rs. 7.26 cr. However, the business of the Vivek Agnihotri directorial does not out beat certain other films like Baahubali 2 – The Conclusion that collected Rs. 15.75 cr, and Dangal that had collected Rs. 10.46 cr.
Currently, facing little to no competition from previous and new releases, The Kashmir Files is dominating at the box office. In fact, predictions state that the film which has managed to draw in Rs. 190.10 cr till date will cross the Rs. 200 cr mark with ease. If that wasn’t enough, advance estimates state that with the mega release RRR slated to hit screens this Friday, The Kashmir Files will see a dip in collections, however, prospects of the film continuing its run at the box office are high.
