Now this is what you call as a truly blockbuster run. For any film to collect in double digits during the weekdays of the first week too is considered as quite good. However, in case of The Kashmir Files, this is happening during the second week, which shows how much is it being loved by the audiences with consistent footfalls coming on a day by day basis.
This was evidenced on Tuesday as well when Rs. 10.25 crores came in. It’s the 12th day of the film, the overall collections are already nearing Rs. 200 crores, there is competition in the form of Bachchhan Paandey, and most importantly, it isn’t a (so called) commercial film. Still, it’s the commercials that are speaking the loudest for this Vivek Agnihotri directed film which is simply unstoppable.
Standing at Rs. 190.10 crores, this all-time blockbuster will score a double century by tomorrow morning, if not tonight itself. Post that while Rs. 275 crores is going to be a breeze, it would be the journey from there to the Rs. 300 crores mark that would be closely observed.
As for Bachchhan Paandey, it managed to stay somewhat stable on Tuesday with Rs. 3.50 crores* coming in. Considering the fact that Monday was Rs. 4 crores*, at least the dip is not much. That said, the overall total is quite low for the film at Rs. 44.75 crores* and there isn’t much expected to come in the final run.
