Jugjugg Jeeyo has got back in action in its second weekend as after a healthy hold of Rs. 3.02 crore on Friday, the movie has jumped by approx. 65 to 70 percent on second Saturday. According to early estimates, the movie has collected in the range of Rs. 4.90 to 5.25 crores, taking the 9 day total collection to Rs. 61.80 crores. The jump has come across the board, with Mumbai and Delhi leading their way followed by Chennai, Ahmedabad and Jaipur to name some.
The Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani film will see another spike in the biz on Sunday and this should take the 10 day total in the vicinity of Rs. 68 crores. The movie is headed towards a lifetime collection of Rs. 80 to 85 crores and this will put it in a fair bracket. It has emerged as the fourth highest grossing film of 2022 today as it has gone past the collections of Samrat Prithviraj. It is now only behind films like The Kashmir Files, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Gangubai Kathiawadi.
The second Saturday jump of Jugjugg Jeeyo in terms of percentage is more than what 99% of the Bollywood films have done in their first week this year. In-fact, the second weekend collection of Jugjugg Jeeyo will be in the same range or higher than the first weekend collection of films like Runway 34, Jayeshbhai Jordaar, Anek, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Jersey and many more. There is appreciation for the film in a limited section of the audience and it's the same audience that has returned to cinema hall in the second weekend. There is a possibility of Jugjugg Jeeyo doing well in the third weekend too.
By the end of its run, it might emerge a mid range success, as the jump in the second weekend will ensure a respectable biz in the long run.
