The Mrighdeep Singh Lamba-directed Fukrey 3 has taken a good start at the box office in India. According to early estimates, the comic caper, starring Varun Sharma, Pulkit Samrat, Manjot Singh, Pankaj Tripathi, and Richa Chaddha has collected in the range of Rs. 8.50 to 9 crores. The first-day business of Fukrey 3 is very much in the same range as Fukrey Returns.
The three national chains, PVR, Inox, and Cinepolis are looking to collect Rs. 5.15 crores on the opening day, contributing 57% to the total business. The start should have been a little better given that it's a holiday in India on account of Ganesh Chaturthi and Eid. The initial audience report for Fukrey 3 is on the positive side and the same will translate into numbers through the holiday period. Fukrey 3 is the third installment of the very successful Fukrey Franchise and with a good start at the box office, it is all ready to continue the success streak.
There is a holiday on Friday on account of Eid in Maharashtra, and this should help the film hold well on the second day and then lead to growth in collections on Saturday and Sunday.
