The Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam released in China this week on 14th April 2022. The film which marks the return of Bollywood releases to Chinese screens opened on a decent note. However, unlike previous Indian films that have hit screens in China, Drishyam opened on a comparatively slower note. In fact, the film managed to draw in USD 30,000 on Day 1.
Ranked 10th among the week’s releases, Drishyam managed to sell approximately 6,234 tickets. Unlike previous Bollywood releases, the Ajay Devgn starrer Drishyam has opened on a rather sluggish note in this market. However, given the fact that the Covid-19 pandemic has sent sections of China into lockdown yet again, it is estimated that the business of Drishyam has seen a rather decent spate of collections.
Going forward, the business of Drishyam at the China box office is expected to see an increase in collections. Trade speculation predicts that the collections of the film will rise as the weekend progresses.
