It was a historic first full-fledged day for Dhurandhar The Revenge as the collections reached a monumental Rs. 75 crores. A terrific record-breaking number was always on the cards and if there were no paid preview shows on Wednesday then Thursday could have well crossed the Rs. 100 crores mark. That number would now remain in contention for films to come and perhaps Ramayana would be the first one to achieve this.

Coming to Dhurandhar The Revenge, it has done more than two and a half times the business of Dhurandhar which had released just a little over 100 days back and collect Rs. 28.60 crores on its first day. This is a really huge jump for a film where the first part had anyways opened quite strong and that shows the kind of love and acceptance that has come for this Aditya Dhar action drama.
This isn’t all, as the biggest ever opening record for a film in a single language has been broken as well. Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs. 72 crores) held this record followed by Jawan (Rs. 65.50 crores), and the Ranveer Singh starrer is far ahead of that. As for Stree 2 (Rs. 55.40 crores), Animal (Rs. 55 crores) and Pathaan (Rs. 55 crores), they are now far behind.
The film has now collected Rs. 118 crores already and while crossing Rs. 200 crores today would be some stretch, it will happen by tomorrow morning. The next big challenge for the film is to score Rs. 100 crores at least on Sunday, if not by Saturday, and that would ensure that the film finds itself in that Rs. 375-400 crores range before the weekdays kickstart.
