In just 24 days, Uri – The Surgical Strike has managed to go past lifetime numbers of 2.0 [Hindi]. This pretty much indicates the level at which this Vicky Kaushal starrer is currently playing at the Box Office as it is now challenging the biggest and the best in the business.
On its fourth Sunday, the film brought in Rs. 8.71 crore more and that has elevated its overall collections to Rs. 189. crore. The Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0 has brought in Rs. 187 crore in its Hindi version and now Uri – The Surgical Strike is set to go much ahead of that in its lifetime. In fact it has also gone past the lifetime numbers of Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani [Rs. 188.92 crore] and Bajirao Mastani [Rs. 188 crore] as well.
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut‘s Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi too has gone past Sonam Kapoor‘s Neerja which had collected Rs. 75.65 crore in its lifetime. The Kangana Ranaut starrer brought in Rs. 6.75 crore on its second Sunday as a result of which its overall total now stands at Rs. 76.65 crore.
The film is heading towards Rs. 90 crore lifetime. Incidentally, director Krish’s last Hindi release Gabbar Is Back too had a similar lifetime total of Rs. 87.50 crore after bringing in Rs. 60 crore in its first week, which was just slightly lesser than the Week One of Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi [Rs. 61.15 crore].
