The most awaited film of 2017 Tiger Zinda Hai hit screens yesterday. Starring Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif in the title roles as Tiger and Zoya the film directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and produced by Yash Raj Films opening on a massive note. In fact, advance estimates of the film claim that the espionage action thriller is more than likely to become one of the highest opening day grossers of the year.
In this box office report we take a look at the opening day collections of Tiger Zinda Hai while comparing the same to Salman Khan’s previously released films. While retaining the top position is Salman Khan 2015 release Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that had collected Rs. 40.35 cr, Tiger Zinda Hai comes in a close second with an opening day collections of Rs. 34.10 cr.
On the other hand the opening day collections of the film do manage to out beat Salman Khan’s other releases like Ek Tha Tiger that collected Rs. 32.93 cr, Bajrangi Bhaijaan that collected Rs. 27.25 cr, Kick that collected Rs. 26.40 cr, Bodyguard that collected Rs. 21.60 cr, Tubelight that collected Rs. 21.15 cr, Dabangg 2 that collected Rs. 21.10 cr, Jai Ho that collected Rs. 17.55 cr, and Dabangg that had collected Rs. 14.50 cr.
Now all that remains to be seen is whether Tiger Zinda Hai that enjoys a clear run till January with little to no competition manages to become Salman Khan’s highest grossing film ever.
