Collecting Rs. 120.06 cr, Sanju has surpassed the opening weekend collections of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali directorial Padmaavat that despite a five day weekend had collected Rs. 114 cr. Apart from this, the opening weekend business of Sanju also manages to overshadow the collections of other previous releases like Race 3 that collected Rs. 103 cr, Baaghi 2 that collected Rs. 73.10 cr, Raid that collected Rs. 41.01 cr, and Pad Man that collected Rs. 40.05 cr.
With no other releases competing with Sanju, predictions state that the film will enjoy an unopposed run at the box office. If that wasn’t all, the acceptance Sanju has received from audience in both metros and mass dominated sectors will greatly assist in bolstering the collections of the film.
