Not surprisingly Badlapur, despite receiving an ‘A’ tag from the censors, received rave reviews from the audiences and the critics alike and has managed to be the third Highest Opening Week grosser collecting Rs. 36.31 crores, out beating the Arjun KapoorSonakshi Sinha starrer Tevar that collected Rs. 32.64 crores and the Amitabh Bachchan – Dhanush starrer Shamitabh that collected Rs. 19.2 crores. On the other hand, the film does not manage to surpass the collections of Akshay Kumar‘s Baby that collected Rs. 63.82 crores and the Jacqueline FernandezRanbir KapoorArjun Rampal starrer Roy that collected Rs. 41.77 crores.
