After bringing in Rs. 6.52 crores on Monday, Border 2 saw alight increment in collections on Tuesday as Rs. 6.69 crores came in with reduced ticket prices. However, it also means that Wednesday will see more than a regular drop.
The kind of run that the Anurag Singh directed film has been having, it could well have stayed with regular weekday prices and still the collections would have been stable. Yes, Tuesday would have seen some sort of drop but then Wednesday would have been normalised. Also, since the film is as it is a big hit, audience movie-watching pattern wouldn’t have been impacted. Moreover, this Blockbuster Tuesday offer could well have been availed from next week onwards.
Nonetheless, the makers would have had a good reason to still proceed with this offer. The Sunny Deol ensemble affair is a superhit and currently stands at Rs. 315.10 crores. By the close of Week 2, it would come close to Rs. 325 crores mark, and then Rs. 350 crores milestone should be there for the taking by the close of third weekend or very early into the weekdays.
