collection.
Considering the fact that today is India's Independence Day, which is of course a national holiday, Chennai Express benefited heavily from it yesterday as people went to watch the film in big numbers. As any trade expert would've predicted, the business of the film picked up yesterday and it collected Rs. 12.56 cr. This is a huge jump for the
movie as the business went up by 9.21 % as compared to its Tuesday collections.
In totality, Chennai Express made Rs. 36.68 cr from Monday to Wednesday nett in India. However, what is notable is that Ranbir Kapoor starrer Yeh Jawaani Hai
Deewani too ran shoulder to shoulder with this figure in its first week of release and had collected Rs. 36 cr from Monday to Wednesday.
