The Anees Bazmee directorial Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 hit screens a while back and has proved to be a massive money-spinner. Starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani the film was well received by the audience. After opening on a good note, the film which released across 3829 screens [domestic 3200 + overseas 629] witnessed immense growth over the subsequent weeks post its release.
In fact, the Bhushan Kumar – Murad Khetani production venture fast became one of the highest-grossing releases of 2022. Now in its fourth week running, the business of the film has continued to maintain pace despite new releases hitting screens. In such a case, the makers of the film stand to earn approx. Rs. 65 crore from theatrical distribution [as producer’s share] with a further Rs. 7 crore coming in from the overseas markets, where the film was sold for a minimum guarantee. Alongside this, the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 have raked in Rs. 59 crore more from the film’s digital, satellite and music rights. With this, the makers of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 stand to earn Rs. 131 cr. as the overall revenues.
Given the film’s production cost of Rs. 100 crore, and the overall recovery of Rs. 131 crore, the makers [Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani] of the Kartik Aaryan starrer are likely to walk away with a Rs. 31 cr. profit with an approx. 31% Return on Investment (RoI).
