A while back we saw the release of the Rajkummar Rao – Bhumi Pednekar starrer Badhaai Do. Dealing with a rather niche topic the film was never really expected to establish records, however its lacklustre performance at the box office has not come as a surprise. After a low key opening weekend and first week the business of Badhaai Do has continued to remain low in its second week as well.
Badhaai Do managed to draw in just Rs. 6.74 cr. in its second week, taking its overall collections to Rs. 19.34 cr. The rather dismal box officer performance of the film is being attributed to the fact that Badhaai Do appealed to a rather nice audience, and the fact that the previous release Pushpa still maintained a hold over the audience.
Now, with the release of the Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi, the business prospects of Badhaai Do, have all but come to an end. In fact, trade predictions state that the business of the film is unlikely to see a notable increase in collections over the coming days.
