The much talked about and keenly anticipated release Animal hit screens on Friday to a thunderous response from the audience. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga the film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna, which had been making headlines for a while, saw a stellar rate of advance bookings. Thanks to the high rate of advance bookings, the wide release pattern and general anticipation for the film Animal started with a bang raking in Rs. 54.75 cr on its opening day alone. Following this, the business of Animal saw further growth on its first Saturday and Sunday running, managing to make it past the Rs. 200 cr mark at the domestic box office within three days of its release.

But on the other hand the business of Animal does manage to overshadow releases like KGF - Chapter 2 that collected Rs. 193.99 cr, Sultan that collected Rs. 180.36 cr, War that collected Rs. 166.25 cr, Bharat that collected Rs. 150.10 cr, Tiger 3 that collected Rs. 148.50 cr, Gadar 2 that collected Rs. 134.88 cr, and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo that had collected Rs. 129.77 cr.
Currently, Animal that enjoys positive reviews and good audience feedback continues to run in theatres, with certain locations adding more shows to compensate for audience demand. Given the current trend, trade predictions state that the business of Animal will see further growth over its first week running.
