Ranbir Kapoor and Sandeep Reddy Vanga have set another ALL-TIME record as their maiden collaboration Animal has collected in the range of Rs. 38 to 40 crores in India, taking the total collections to Rs. 282 crores. The film is all set to enter the Rs. 300 crore club in just 6 days and emerge as a BLOCKBUSTER in its theatrical run in less than a week.
Animal has collected Rs. 36 crores in Hindi on its fifth day, which is a record for a non-holiday Tuesday, and another Rs. 3.50 crores in the Tamil and Telugu dubbed versions, taking total collections to Rs. 40 crores. The film is on a historic run and in a league of its own and has chances of scaling new heights in the long run.
The film is sure to enter the Rs. 400 crore club at the box office and has a strong shot at entering the Rs. 500 crore club at the box office. The film is hitting records on the weekdays despite a clash with Sam Bahadur and the records would have come down crumbling in the opening weekend too if it was a solo release.
The film faced capacity issues in the opening weekend or else, a record opening weekend was poised to be under its name. The success of Animal is unprecedented, and the eyes are now on the second weekend trend as the film has a real chance of being the fastest to enter the Rs. 300 and Rs. 400 crore club at the domestic box office.
The film so far is trending better than Gadar 2, Jawan, and Pathaan, however, unfortunately won't get a clear slate like the aforementioned films due to the Christmas battle royale between Dunki and Salaar.
