The Sandeep Reddy Vanga directorial Animal hit screens last week on Friday and since then the film has proved to be unstoppable at the box office. Starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Bobby Deol, and Rashmika Mandanna the bloody actioner was well-received by the critics and audience alike. In fact, after seeing a wide rate of advance bookings, Animal started on a thunderous note in both the domestic and international markets. As per reports, Animal fast emerged as the top weekend grosser at the worldwide box office surpassing other releases like Napoleon and Hunger Games: Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes.
Now at the North America box office, Animal which has been enjoying a stellar run has managed to cross the USD 8 million mark. Interestingly, with such massive collections, Animal has managed to emerge as Ranbir Kapoor’s highest-grosser at the North America box office. Crossing the USD 8 million mark in just five days of its release, Animal has dethroned Ranbir’s previous release Brahmastra – Part One which had collected USD 7.64 million over its run. If that was not enough, besides surpassing the lifetime collections of Brahmastra at the North America box office, the business of Animal has also far overshadowed Ranbir’s other release, Sanju which had raked in USD 7.87 million.
Currently, Animal continues to run finding immense patronage among the audience. Given this fact, coupled with the positive feedback for the film trade predictions state that the business of Animal will continue to see exponential growth over its first. In fact, with little to no competition at the box office, the business of Animal is likely to set new benchmarks.
