The Kabir Khan directed, Ranveer Singh starrer 83, released on December 24 ahead of the Christmas 2021. There was a lot of hype around the film due to its storyline chronicling India's 1983 World Cup win against West Indies. With more than two years of wait, the film hit the big screen. With positive reviews and immense hype the business of the film was expected to start off with a bang. However, the collections of 83 have not really been living up to expectations. Currently, the total collections of 83 are pegged at Rs. 97 cr. at the close of Week 2.
