Last Sunday, 12th Fail had crossed the Rs. 3 crores mark by bringing in Rs. 3.10 crores at the box office. This is also the only day in its run so far that Rs. 3 crores milestone had been crossed. Now on Saturday, its ninth day, the film has done that again. Not just that as the film has also netted its best day so far, what with Rs. 3.40 crores coming in.
This is really good because it shows how well has the film been accepted by the audiences. Such kind of trending is typically seen by those small movies that start slow and then establish themselves well in theatres for a long run. In fact, the films keep growing and then the second Sunday is also much bigger. That's a regular trending as well but unfortunately it won't quite happen for the Vidhu Vinod Chopra film since it's India v/s South Africa World Cup cricket match today. This means that the collections won't really grow big and may even go down a bit.
Still, the job has been done by the film and while it has done well enough to recover well from theatrical revenue perspective as well, the more it collects at the box office, the better would be its eventual verdict. So far, the Vikrant Massey starrer has already collected Rs. 18.15 crores and while Rs. 21 crores milestone would be comfortably crossed today, anything over and above that will make its journey towards the Rs. 30 crores mark much smoother.
