Overseas: Shahid’s biggest opener in U.K.

By Bollywood Hungama

The much-in-news Shahid – Kareena starrer JAB WE MET has emerged a major success in U.K. The film has grossed £ 156,013 in its opening weekend [includes Thursday previews], thus proving to be the biggest Shahid Kapur opener in U.K. [check chart below]. On the other hand, NO SMOKING is a supreme disaster in U.K. [in fact, a bigger disaster than RAMGOPAL VARMA KI AAG here].

Meanwhile, the two films haven’t fared well in Australia. While JAB WE MET is poor here, NO SMOKING is a washout in this territory. In fact, NO SMOKING is the lowest opener of 2007 in Australia.

Weekend: October 26 – 28, 2007.
