Ranveer Singh brought his signature energy to the trailer launch of Dhurandhar, where he appeared alongside director Aditya Dhar and co-stars R Madhavan and Arjun Rampal. While key cast members Sanjay Dutt and Akshaye Khanna were absent from the event, their presence was still strongly felt — especially when Ranveer was asked to imitate his favourite “Sanju Baba”.
In a light-hearted moment that instantly grabbed attention, Aditya Dhar urged Ranveer to mimic Sanjay Dutt, and the actor obliged with full enthusiasm. Channeling Dutt’s unmistakable charm and swagger, Ranveer delivered the dialogue from the film — “Agar dagabaazi ki toh maarne se pehle tujhe randwa banaunga” — leaving the audience cheering and the room erupting in laughter.

Ranveer then spoke fondly about sharing the screen with one of his childhood heroes. “It’s a massive deal for me to be in a movie with Sanjay Dutt. He has been one of my screen idols since childhood, one of the major motion picture heroes from the 90s. Copied his style and watched all his movies from a young age. And now to be in a movie with him is extremely special,” he said, expressing genuine admiration.

Dhurandhar marks a major collaboration, bringing together some of India’s most intense performers — Ranveer Singh, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt, and Akshaye Khanna — for the very first time. The film is described as a gritty, action-heavy, blood-soaked drama, with Ranveer leading the narrative in what is expected to be one of his most raw avatars to date.
Backed by Jyoti Deshpande, Aditya Dhar, and Lokesh Dhar under the banners Jio Studios and B62 Studios, the film is reportedly planned as a multi-part saga. With scale, spectacle, and a powerhouse ensemble, Dhurandhar aims to kick off a franchise rooted in high-octane action and dramatic intensity.
The first part of Dhurandhar is slated to hit theatres on December 5, and if the trailer launch is any indication, fans can expect Ranveer Singh in full throttle — and perhaps a little bit of “Sanju Baba” swagger too.
