The two new releases, MARIGOLD and BUDDHA MAR GAYA, have had a dismal opening weekend in the key markets. Not much was expected from BUDDHA MAR GAYA, since it's not the film Overseas audiences usually take to, but MARIGOLD has proved a supreme disaster. The film has opened to shockingly low numbers, despite Salman Khan's star presence.
Meanwhile, Aishwarya Rai's international project, THE LAST LEGION, co-starring Colin Firth and Ben Kingsley, released extensively in the U.S. last Friday [2002 screens], has collected a paltry $ 2.7 million in its opening weekend.
Weekend: August 17 - 19, 2007.
