MALAMAAL WEEKLY continues to have a dream run in U.K. The film has surpassed all expectations and going by the numbers, should cross £ 300,000 in the next few days. Keeping the economics in mind, this Priyadarshan laughathon is a blockbuster hit. The film is faring well in the U.S. as well.
IQBAL, which had a rather late release in U.K., was backed by an impressive pre-release campaign by its distributors, Tip Top. Unfortunately, the fantastic promotion hasn't translated into great numbers. It's a damp squib in this territory.
Weekend: March 31 - April 2, 2006.
