The confusion over the release of NO ENTRY affected its prospects in both U.S. and U.K. markets.
Despite odds, NO ENTRY has stormed the U.S. charts by grossing $ 300,000 + in its first three days of release. The numbers would've been much, much better had the film received a smooth release. In terms of screen average, NO ENTRY has grossed more than the Hollywood biggies that opened in U.S.A. this weekend.
But the rumor that the film wouldn't hit the screens this week did make a dent in its U.K. business. The opening weekend numbers aren't exciting at all, although the film has been appreciated tremendously. Let's hope things brighten up in its second weekend!
As things stand today, the first weekend gross of NO ENTRY from U.S.A and U.K. is over Rs. 2 crores.
Weekend: August 26 - 28, 2005.
