Whats your raashee is ashutosh gowariker fourth film after lagaan,swades and jodhaa-akbar.all three films are enthralling cinema.and the same is expected by whats your raashee.the concept is amazing and sounds very interesting on paper.the story is something new and not tried and tested. but its teh screenplay which fails here.not totally but in most places it fails to hook your attention.the first half is good and entertaining. but the second half becomes too lengthy and dull. the scenes just becomes things moving with no soul the climax is just not convincing.few tracks are left half-baked.dialouges are okay.bckround score is decent.music is good.cinematography is alright. this is ashutosh's weakest work so far.after delivering such fantastic movies,this time he fails not completely but partially.his direction is average.harman baweja acts quite well.he has grown as an actor since love story 2050.but the show comletely belongs to Priyanka Chopra.the actor is asheer delight to watch in each and every frame.at point film is just watchable because of priyanka.her each and every role is superb.darshan jariwala is good.anjan shrivastava is natural.manju singh is decent.yuri suri is okay dilip joshi is comical and provides some light moments.overall,WHATS YOUR RAASHEE? is an average effort with good first half but plain second half and knockout performance of PRIYANKA CHOPRA.

The Oscar nominated director of Lagaan returns after working with 3 of the biggest stars in the country Aamir Khan (Lagaan), Shahrukh Khan (Swades) and Hrithik Roshan (Jodhaa Akbar).. comparatively What’s your Rashee is a much smaller movie starring Priyanka Chopra in 12 different roles and Harman Baweja as the most eligible bachelor. Yet the expectations are sky high and understandably so. But what unfolds in this terribly long movie on Sun Signs, is Gowariker’s worst work in a long long time. A movie that not just falls way below expectations, but surprises you with its mediocrity. Is this really, for real, an Ashutosh Gowariker directed movie? Read on as we dissect the positives and negatives of What’s your Rashee. Whats your Rashee Review Some reasons why you could watch What’s your Rashee on DVD (visit to a theater not recommended) * Priyanka Chorpa – Does justice to each of the 12 characters she portrays and ensures almost each of them feel distinctly different. * Some dialogues and comic scenes work, but are way too few and far in between. Why you would absolutely regret the Rashee experience if you indeed decide to watch it * The movie is way too long and what makes things worse are those 13 songs, 12 for each Rashee and the title song in the end. Why include a song, just for the heck of it? None, absolutely none of the songs were necessary. Dont get me wrong, length is never a problem as long as the content is strong, unfortunately the screenplay and its execution (read direction) ensure the 3 hour 30 minute movie remains terribly weak on content throughout. * With due credit to Priyanka’s performance, she is let down by some of the most irritating and weird characters you will ever get to watch on screen. They dance without a reason, their dialogues are outright pathetic and while most seem different from each other, the effort to make them so different seems to have back-fired big time. * Harman Baweja is completely overshadowed by Priyanka here. His performance and dialogue delivery has improved considerably since his Love Story 2050 days and Gowariker has ensured there is no trace of Hrithik left in his performance, yet there is something missing. Could be the energy, intensity or the lack screen presence? He seems to have the necessary talent and looks but if Gowariker could’nt extract the best out of him we wonder who could.. * After the drag that the movie is, you look forward to the last possible saving grace – the climax. But what unfolds in the last 20 odd minutes has to be one of the most stupid and unconvincing climaxes ever. * Darshan Jariwala’s extra marital storyline that adds to the runtime gets increasingly annoying. It was meant to be funny, but isn’t. Overall, from a director with epics like Lagaan and Swades behind him, its a shocker. Hard to put it in words, but being one of the biggest fans of Gowariker since his acting and CID days, it hurts to say this – What’s your Rashee is one of the worst films this decade. A powerful sleeping pill, that isn’t recommended even for chronic sleeplessness. Two a star for Priyanka.

I have been a great admirer of Taran and used to guide myself to choose movies based on his star ratings. But oflate Taran's ratings are not at all reliable. He needs to live upto his reputation. This movie deserves more than 1.5, 'Delhi6' also deserved 3 and 'Aladin' atleast 2. On the other hand 'Wanted', 'Do Knot Disturb' and 'Blue' do not deserve what they got from Taran. 'WYR' is a good movie having some very good scenes. For example, when Ranveer first time exclaims 'Jesus' watch his father Anjan. Only problem is that it has too many songs in the later part which only hinders the proceedings.

Lagaan, Swades & Jodha Akbar. These are the movies that feature in Ashutosh Gowarikar’s CV as a Director. This man has set a few standards for storytelling. So, exprectations fro m What’s your Rashee? are sky-high. So, does WYR stands up yo these expectations? Let’s start with a brief overview of story. based on Madhu Rye’s novel Kimball Ravenswood , a young man Yogesh Patel visits India to get married on the insistence of his family. He decides to meet one girl of each rashee in a span of ten days. He indeed meets all of them and finally marry one of them. Pretty, simple. Huh! :-) That’s about story. What about screenplay? 3:40 hrs. This is the amount of time you would have to space from your precious life to watch this saga. This time Gowarikar hasn’t come up with anything special, but it’s not a bad movie either. Don’t go to cinema hall with expectations of a master piece. Then, I am sure you will find this movie very interesting and likable. This is a good, warm movie with simple story. Coming to the acting, well, Hurman has done a decent job. As an NRI, he is very affable. But, the movie undoutedly belong to gorgeous Priyanka Chopra. After all, it’s not easy to bring alive 12 different girls with varied personalities on the screen. Priyanka does it with flair. Trust me, she is on the path to be Bollywood Queen. Music from Sohail Sen is decent. While Jao Na and Bikhri Bikhri hit the personal chord, Aja Lehraate can shake your legs. The one, and probably the only, reason why you might come out disappointed from cinema hall, is the climax of movie. Somehow it’s just not convincing. While stories for some rashees are very boring and exaggerated, some of them are just amazing, specifically the one which has past. Overall, I feel, it’s not a bad decision to watch this movie at least once. If you are a Priyanka Chopra fan, then your are going to watch is over and again!! :-) Have Fun!

What's your rashee is a very funny,romantic movie i love it and it is a great family movie.. i would really recommend it. Everyone has there own views on movies.. i would give it a 9.9 out of 10... And Priyanka Chopra did a very good job dispite having to do 12 roles! Harman Baweja did a fantastic job also... My favourite role of Priyanka Chopra was Anjali and Vishahka...
