sawariya is just like a dream.complete with love,joy,celebrations,melodies,loneliness,pain.and just like a dream the film culminates by making you wake up to realise that it was a dream. the story is set in a fairy tale world and it does indeed take you to another world.infact with his earlier three films sanjay leela bhansali has the liberty to take you there.half an hour into the film you are a part of that world.you are intp a poetry in celluloid. the story is all about love.it is for those who believe in the divine touch of love.ranbeer as the charming vagabound will go miles.sonam looks good and is promising.only a star could play salman's role and he does have the aura to sweep the heroine off her feet by his sheer presence.

A Poetry in motion is what Saawariya is.A misunderstood masterpiece. First of all simply awsome and vibrant performance by Ranbir Raj Kapoor and Rani Mukherjee, Sonam can be worked upon too.The film is simple love story told very simply - without much jhintak masalas and spoofs being added.Sanjay Leela Bhansali undoubtedly proved again why he is a master and India's best director currently. Fils are all about imagination only, and imagination are bigger. Now certain people are not able to believe in this classical and magnum imagination because they cannot imagine this themselves.This is something big and never imagined.Also the Rain and Snowfall aspect i would like to say geographically first it rains and then it snows.And about a uneducative disbelief that snow occurs where mountains are, one must go back to there geography books and read about cities like Moscow and Newyork where there are no mountains but snowfall occurs.Yes the film does have tribute to RK's Shree 420 and Rishi Kapoor's Karz but people finding challiya in it is quite un understood - Go and watch Challiya first Lolz. All the aspects of filmmaking are mastered to perfection in this film be it art or international standards of cinematography and editing.Music is simply outstanding and background score - well no one can achieve such impact except MONTY and SLB. So all time Masala film lovers you may not find your day here but for a true film lover its a delight to watch out for.Also this is not SLB'S best till date but it would be treated as a book on "how to make great film ever". When everything from Screenplay to Cinematography to Direction to Background Score is a masterstroke, how can i say it's not a good film.Indeed a masterpiece. A note for Taran Adarsh - Sir you are a calculative reviewers in my eyes, you rate film on the basis of Masala Content in it and the business.Okay it is beileivable that u may say about content in the film but why business despite the fact it opened to a thunderouys response.Get a Life man. Finally, Saawariya is not Sanjay Leela Bhansali's best till date but he completely outshines in terms of cinema aesthetic and value.Also as said by a great film critic you will find hard to find a director of caliber of Sanjay Leela Bhansali who can acieve such cinematic vibrance and perfection. THUMPS UP!!!!

awesome make from SLB. what else can u expect from SLB? i have read people's reviews about it n i dont understand what they will b happy with. do they still look for main-tera-khoon-pi-jaonga or main-tumhare-bache-ki-maa-banne-wali-hoon type masala. every single performance, every bit of film is so nicely detailed,controlled and well made that u will have to love it. its a different wrk n thats what i think we want...a change, smthing new.only people can like this who really have that level of understanding the cinema. i dont mean to say that i m "something" but yes i can judge whats good n whats bad.

I watched both OSO and Saawariya on the same day. As a concept Saawariya is ok. cinmatography (most likely not spelled right) is fantastic. The sets are beautifully created. However, the movie moves at a snails pace. In total this is not a movie for Diwali. I would not recommnd watching this movie on Diwali or actually paying money to watch it in a theater. Wait till it comes out on DVD.

Saawariya ooo Saawariya, Wait what is so disappointing and pathetic about the movie, is it the simple story, the wonderful settings, the performances, which have'nt eva been seen on screen before, has a story so simple has ever been presented so beautiful that u find urself sumwhere in there. Right from the start the movie is new and creative sequence where Ranbir meets Rani and tries to convince the landlord, where he sees sonam for the first time and their journey to her home. SLB is brilliant in his direction, You actually feel like watchin a fairytale. Ranbir's performance wha an actor he has shown y he deserved to be in the movie, sonam looks so beautiful and the simplicity of her character suits her. One thing negative about the movie might be the ending which people might find stupid and false, but y not have an endin like this for a change Wonderful work SAAWARIYA
