i would agree to a certain extent with mr.taran regarding his review....the movie lacked soul...the emotional content wuz missing..but consider it as a play..n u wud enjoy it...taran has missed the point on several occasions...probably u shud go read White Nights first..the girl falls in love with an older man..thts wht salman wuz playing...he wuz suppose to look old..but nywayz..bhansali has disappointed big time..salmanz role shud have been extended..tht wudve made the movie more interesting...bad characterization of both salman n sonam..ranbir wuz strictly ok..rani wuz good

It takes a Sanjay Leela Bhansali to make even potholes and dusting carpets look so alluring, so poetic, you would hope in all sincerity that you walk on roads pockmarked with potholes and switch professions to dust Persian carpets at least part time! ‘Saawariya’ shimmers from within: gorgeous sets in turquoise and emerald seem so beautiful because they blend with a story told with heart-aching beauty. It is one of those movies that is not about the story itself; it is about the experience of characters within a given framework of time and destiny. And given this premise, Sanjay does a phenomenal job as a storyteller. Each moment in the film is like tender pollen, and watching them bunch together to create a beautiful flower is a sheer pleasure that no lover of cinema should miss. Lights have been used well to bring alive the sets that captivate you for the genius with which different shades of blue and green have been used to create eye candy that never looks monotonous. The music is mellifluous and songs are used to deftly map the story. The dialog – by Sanjay’s favorite Prakash Kapadia – uses a nifty combination of poetry and casual to create thoughts that hit you straight in the heart. Ranbir Kapoor is a brilliant performer with a simmering screen presence. His expressive eyes and ability to suffuse energy into the simplest of scenes are what I loved about him. In the last scene, where his tear drench his heartbreakingly sad smile, live in your heart for long after the curtains are down. Sonam Kapoor has a limited scope when compared to Ranbir (who is there in practically every scene and is offered a variety of moments to display his acting finesse). But she does a commendable job of what is available. There is an untouched innocence to her beauty that makes her apt for this role. Seasoned actors Zohra Sehgal and Rani Mukherjee add to the films sheen with impeccable performance that touch your heart. But the film, from my experience as an intense cinema viewer, belongs to Sanjay Leela Bhansali. I doff to you sir, for yet again having crafted poetry for the silver screen. ‘Saawariya’ melted on my skin in all the elegance of a Milton poem and tapestry of an Indian miniature, and left in my mouth the bittersweet taste of dark chocolate. Thank you sir, for yet another five-star instance of cinema.

!! Disappointment !! It is time now to think, why the hell Star Kids are given so many chances ? If they werent Star Kids, who would have gone to watch the movie ? or rather who would have even thought to cast them in their movie ? Well.. Akshay Kumar and SRK were not related to BOLLYWOOD in any sense. They are self made ppl. And i dont think in coming years any stranger will rock industry. Starting with the Big Baby.. Mr. Abhishek Bachchan.. he has delievered record Flop movies, and yet he is alive in the industry. Zayed Khan, Saif Ali Khan, Sohail Khan, Tushar kapoor, Hrithik Roshan,Fardeen Khan, Akshay Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan, Aamir Khan, and one more name in the list of Dependent ppl is Ranveer Kapoor.. God save the Bollywood.. SLB should sit back and think. what has he made ? An art film ? no.. Masala movie ? absolutely not.. Then why he cheats the audience with ordinary script and soulless movie ? Mr. Bhansali.. listening ? Next time cast me.. i am 23 yrs old and i have done my masters in Clinical Psychology. I know you wont cast me. i am not a star kid. You have been caught Mr. Bhansali.. Next time take up some established actor who can save you.. Go to Mr. Salman khan, the son of Salim khan.. probably he will save you.. But this time.. You are done..

This was more a movie that made you think...would you be happy just loving a person? Its a different take on love. It was a very artsy film, its not your typical bollywood masala film. People say they want something different, that they're tired of seeing the same thing over and over again and now that something different has come out people cannot seem to accept it or have an open mind. This movie had a very mystical feel, and the performances were top knotch, especially for new comers. The music is outstanding. The story different.

Saawariya - By every means far better choice than OSO!!! Movie had story in it unlike OSO!!! Movie had melodious songs and movie had Ranbir Kapoor!!! 1st movie but wins the heart of millions. Unlike SRK who in the past though has won heart of millions, but now plans to break the heart of all his fans by doing stupid movie like OSO!!! Saawariya - Simply the best movie. Ranbir has bright prospects.

I Saw Saawariya last afternoon. After I watched OSO Again [Tuesday Special Screening] in its first day first show. Then i thought to go for Saawariya. I can describe Saawariya in only 3 words. Boring Boring Boring. Yes, Sanjay Leela Bhansali's weakest film is Saawariya. The biggest minus point of d film is That it's a film which only has nights. No Sunlight. This 4 day love story is a Fiasco. I want my refund MR.Bhansali.
