Some music albums are like miniatures. Their breathless beauty emerges stroke by stroke, gradually, with patience and love that art requires and that is available only to the vision that seeks.
Jodha Akbar is one such album. While one is free to have their opinions on music - music is after all the most personal of arts - categorically dismissing an album of this stature is something I found distasteful (by the main reviewer.) It is a masterpiece, and is bound to eventually warm up the cockles of the heart.
'Khawaja mere khwaja' sparkles, while 'Azeem-o-shaan' floods you with percussion. 'In lamhon ke daaman mein' is heart achingly romantic with lyrics that are poetry personified, while 'Jashn-e-bahara' shimmers for its vocal quality.
Rehman has proven that yet again he is a virtuoso, a maestro who does not happen ever so often.
Listen to the album and derive your conclusions. Believe me, you will be pleasantly surprised.

1. Jashne-e Baharan is the most romantic song of the season. you just listen once and you gonna love that.
2. In lamho k daman main one of the beautiful lyrics in recent times by Javed Akhtar and offcourse soulful tone.
3. Khawaja mere Khawaja is a sufi qwalli beautifully sung by A.R.Rahman.
4. Azeem-o-shan Shahnshah is a very beautiful background score that should go for Oscars or any other international awards for Background music.
5. manmohini is one track i didnot understand yet . so on whole i would recommend listeners to buy the CD they will love the different sound of music.

Historicals are out and outdated. The music makes you feel that the story is set in South India. AR Rehman can score only two ways. One is when he is outstanding (most times) or when he is a disaster.

Nowadays people look at songs to see wether they will be played in clubs, but let's not forget that not every movie will have 42 year old men taking their shirt and showing off their 6 packs. This album is very true to its topic and theme. Let me start off with ofcourse,Azeem-O-Shaan Shahenshah, you would think that for a movie like Jodhaa Akbar the music would be pretty boring, but this song is loud and not the bad kind of loud either, it's catchy and hummable and the words aren't sensless, it's a track you would repeat. Now on to the other top song which is Jashn-e-bahaaraa, gorgeous and romantic, light and shy, it has many romantic shades and makes a good listen another song you would repeat. The other songs are good too, but I felt these two were the most catchy and beautiful. A must listen and a must buy.

Firstly before I begin my review, has this person aptly called Joginder Tuteja kept his brains locked up in his own coffin before writing the review? To put it in simple words, its just a big bunch of crap and clearly a conspiracy. Is this reviewer (of high reputation it seems) a person who hates all other genres other than the ones booming into publics headphones/earphones? Joginer Tuteja, you came very close to losing your job with that review I must say. I can also see in his review, he says, the Khwaaja mere Khwaaja song, its only for A R Rahman songs, does that mean he gives a poor review of it, and does that mean hes not a fan of A R Rahman? Should be crucified. Anyway, coming back to the review, the music grows on the listener. Its not a one time album on the playlist, a regular repetition shows in depth the hard work put into every song and visualising every moment of the movie in each and every song. Almost all songs standout. Excellent, great job. IndiaFM, you guys suck for putting up Tuteja as even as a reviewer.
