I do not agree with the review written by you. This movie is from a different genre altogether & it sounds different, but melodious, extravagant, royal & enchanting. I agree that the songs are not hummable like the othe movies. But they are a delight to watch & hear. I have heard them several times, but i feel like i am not done yet. There is some enigma or the x factor in the music......Only Rehman could have created such a master piece. This should not be compared to the music of Lagaan or Swades. They belong to a completely different genre altogether.

The first thing that strikes from the soundtrack of jodha akbar is the awesome power of the song azeem o shah shahensha.One could easily visualise the epic quality of the film,as well as knowing that war will be depicted on the screen.With its thundering percussion and large chorus.
Jashn e baharaa could easily one of the most beautiful songs of the year,its trully rare to come across a song that lifts you into heaven and puts one in a mood for romance and love.Javed ali voice is smooth and soft and javed akhtars lyrics are almost like poetry flowing with the music.
Khawja mere khwaja sounds like a very typical a r rahman song with his signature voice and is almost addictive to listen to its repetitive chorus.
Sonu yet again does an amazing job on inn lamho ke daman mein,his silky smooth voice seems to always complement hrithik and its slow tempo calms the listener down.
Maan mohana seems to not really work for me,although this seems to be the song that will be pictured on aishwariya,their is almost something very smilar to one two ka fours khamoshiyan gunguna which was also composed by rahman.
Never the less the soundtrack is fantastic and one of rahmans finest and highest quality works to date.
