well he has done it again... when two man with diffrent ideas and abilities come along.... u cant just ignore them.... first it came when farhan came with aamir.... mow he is coming with the BADSHAH of Bollywood.... i really loved the movie ALL the above reviews who are comparing this with old don are bull shit... bcoz no one can do a role same as the older role... i mean if amitabh is told to do a film like DDLJ... he will not fill the magic of srk in it... so why shud we compare the BADSHAH with SHAHENSHAH?????? many people talk abt actng... i tell u that after 16 years in film industry if a man is called box office buster that he must be a good actor and we are no one to speak abt his acting... but some sallu fans will talk rubbish thing like his acting is poor & film is poor just thinking that thier review will change our mind.... but guys that is not going to happen... i also watched JM... and wasted my money... One Word Excellent... Hats off to Shahrukh Khan and Farhan Akhtar, Much better than old don and technically very sound, all the action sequences are too good, sky diving, car chases, car chases.Background score of the film is also very good.Music of the don is also excellent and shahrukh has given his 100% to the character of "don".I can say it is a trimmed version of the old "don"!!! Must see....!!! Enjoy...!!!

As everyone already knows, Don is a remake of the same name starring Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role in 1978. The one question everyone wants an answer to is, "did Don - The Chase Begins Again live up to the high expectations? As a matter of fact, this remake of Don is way above expectations. As I sat waiting for the movie to begin, I was full of excitement. And after the movie finished, I was still excited! The strongest part of the movie was the climax and the last 2 minutes which revealed an earth-shattering scene. I will not reveal this scene, because it will ruin the movie for others, but the one thing I will say is that is was fantastic! Immediately after the last scene, I was shocked and everything seemed to be a little illogical. But as I recalled the story, things started to make sense. This last scene portrayed what a real Don should be like. As for the performances, the highest performance was exhibited by none other than Shahrukh Khan who essayed the role of "Don". He has proved time and time again why he is called the "King Khan" and this movie will only cement his status further. He enacted the role for Don and Vijay with determination, and for this reason, he will hear praises from his fans for the next little while. Arjun Rampal acted the role of Jasjit (JJ), which was earlier essayed by Pran in the 1978 classic. Although he had some pressure on his shoulders, he proved all non-believers wrong with his stupendous performance. This movie will only give him credits around Bollywood. As for this years supporting actor, watch out for him in the nomination's list! The ladies has their own roles to play in the film, but it was Isha Koppikar who will walk away with the awards. Her facial expression and gorgeous look made her a great pair for Shahrukh Khan on-screen. It is safe to say that this is amongst her top performances. Priyanka Chopra definitely acted with confidence in the shoes of "Roma," but pairing her up with Shahrukh Khan just didn't seem convincing. As for Kareena Kapoor, she did have limited scope, but in the time she was on-screen, she acted fabulous. It seems that she is looking more and more beautiful as her movies release! Before watching the movie, I felt Boman Irani was completely miscast. This was because he is known mostly as a comedian in his films so I felt that he could not act serious parts. However, after watching the film, one would understand why he can act even serious roles. He can only be described in one word, "amazing!" As for the supporting cast, Pawan Malhotra (acting as Narang), and Om Puri (Malik)also joined hands with excellent performances. As a whole, I believe that Don-The Chase Begins Again is a complete entertainer all the way. Although Jaan-e-mann is considered a fierce competetion, Don will definitely exist. As for box-office, word of mouth will only cement the movies prospects further. So, go watch Don, and enjoy it for yourself!

Firstly SRK must have invented his own DON rather then copying Amitabh which is not working at all... Secondly Mr. Farhan Akhtar how can u do so many bloopers in one movie... Looks like it was just a good luck and may be too much intervention from Aamir which made Dil Chatah Hai a Hit.. SRK needs to just relax he is a good actor but must choose what he is doing.. Priyanka is quite ok ... Kareena the big head looks Fat.. She looks more like SRK's aunty.. Boman is ok with strange story.. Don't forget to carry some coffee to avoid headaches

Comparison is much obvious when it comes to remake but what TARAN ADARSH wrote is just too biased and strong. I think saying such a strong thing for director like FARHAN is just unreasonable...... I loved the movie..... I think it was doing justice to the old movie, had its share of change and entertainment and SRK for a good surprise didnot overact....The direction was just perfect....would it be a bit slower, it would have bcom boring..... There were so many stories going on and he did justice to all.... I thought it was AWESOME except for my favourire song "Khaike paan" which was totally misplaced and not to the expectation...... but I wouldn't be too harsh on FARHAN for that......

This movie was by far the best movie I have seen thsis past year, aside from Fanaa and Rang De Basanti. The pace which Farhan goes with the film is acceptional!! It's is not too slow, nor is it too fast. The characters are all well-etched out. The surprise package is def Boman Irani, and def SRK. He did an outstanding job as Don, and as Vijay. The ending is the most exhilarating part of the film!!! Compared to Amitabh's Don which I have seen, I'll admit the character of Vijay was better portrayed by Amitabh Bachchan, but no one, and I repeat no one could play Don as well as SRK!!! He was absolutely mindblowing!!!! Awesome movie!!!

First off I have not watched the old Don so I can make no comparisons! I love the new Don, it is absolutely brilliant. I am 15 year old teen and this movie was very slick and cool so maybe thats why i like it soo much. The action was brillaint, very well coregraphed for an indian movie, long gone are the days of silly sound fx and a punch 10cms away from the face, these punches look realistic like they could hurt. The car chases were pretty good to. I enjoyed the songs and found that they were a good source of relief which is what a song is supposed to be not a method to move the plot forward. Each song was well shot however I do not know if the new remakes of the old songs can do them justice. The acting was very good however there were some unneeded and wasted characters. Don himself is very well played by SRK, he pulls off the arrogant, yet cool and slick boss. Vijay was also pulled off well i believe as SRK gave him that quirky innocent face mixed with some humourous lines. Roma played by Priyanka could have been better. Jasjit was played well by Arjun Rampal however needed more developing. Desilva played by Boman Irani was very well executed making me genuinely hate him. Malik was very poorly used and could've had more lines, he just seemed to be there for the sake of it. I myself thought the pace of the film was good because it wasn't a constant barrage of pure mind melting action it was well separated when there was need for action there was and same with the songs, it wasn't slow at all I never found myself bored. There are loopholes in the script however your at the cinema to watch the film not analyse it, although some parts were confusing even my hispanic friend who has never watched a bollywood film understood it. I personally loved the film and the some of the twists were predictable however the end one is mind blowing! I suggest you watch this film and enjoy it for it's slick style and some of the amazing lines that SRK says.
