This one is the best of the two.It is the most stylish Indian movie that I have ever watched.It's a must watch.Its that kind of movie which U can watch any number of times & still U don't get bored.It justifies the dialogue-"DON KO PAKADNA MUSHKILHI NAHIN NAA MUMKIN HAI".

i saw don on saturday.....the movie rocked....srk has done complete justice 2 the role....the movie was really rockin.....though it drags a bit in the first half...but in the second half the movie tAkes of....srk looks perfect in each and every frame of the movie....just watch out for him in khaike paan song...and when he says 2 kareena..."ITS MINE"..the startin scene...of srk and chunky pandey was very cool...from now on i have made one thing clear...never 2 believe the indian critics....none of them r qualified 2 be a critic....instead of lookin at don as a new film...all of them comparin it 2 the old don...cmon how silly is that....some critics have raped the film while some critics have praised the film...the critcs r a confused lot...noNE OF them is qualified..for those who havent seen the new don....go and watch it...the twist in the end was really earthshattering....everyone in the theatre was shocked...u can see farhan akhtars brilliance in the second half of the movie...the twist in the end...is really rockin..unpredictable...go and watch it u guys will come 2 know what i am talkin about......everyone in the industry has loved don including MR.BACHHAN....THERE HAS NEVER BEEN A MORE STYLIZED...SLICKER...UNPREDICTABLE AND VISUALLY AMAZING FILM EVER IN HINDI CINEMA...

Don is one of the BEST movie I have seen in recent times, Sharukh Khan potrayed the character of DON perfectly and he has done Justice to that role. Priyanka and Kareena were also outstanding. This is going to be one of the Biggest Blockbuster movie in 2006. We have seen Sharukh Khan in a negative role after a long gap and he was stupendous. Hats off to Sharukh you are the best ........!!!!!!!!!!

This is a frank and a true opinion I'm giving. Though i've not seen the earlier don, I personally feel that the film was all style and not much substance. Even though the film was great in all aspects like songs, srk performance was as good as ever, but thr was smthn missin which didnt keep me interted throughout the movie. It didnt have what a good thriller movie should have. But its worth a watch for all die heart srk fans!

The only reason we r g oing to watch tis movie is b/c either of SRK or its an remake of an legendary actor movie. from my point of view while you watch tis movie at that particular time dont compare this movie to the old Don movie. Then i can definetely bet tht u'll certainly like tis movie. SRK cant be compare with AB b/c AB's a legend. You might like the beginning but after that another half an hour seems boring b/c we call see old don and tis movie is goin pretty much the same in that half an hour with the same dialogues but the twist in the climax is absolutely stunning after thn the twist and turns make tis movie one of the best movie of the yr. so far. PPl might dont like the first 2 hrs but the last half of hour of the movie is totally fresh and unpredictable thts where your's money worth it.

First, I would like to tell that I like SRK. However, I would rate this movie only above Duplicate and below all his other movies. Maybe that's because I have seen Amitabh's Don and was comparaing against it (I had no choice since most of the movie was really a true copy). There were times SRK was trying hard to copy Amitabh's style and dialogue delivery - but unsuccessful. Actually, at times I couldn't help but laugh at him as he was so bad in copying. Also, at times in first half I could see why some people say he is gay. However, 2nd half of the movie was better and SRK did a good job. One thing I missed throughout movie were the awesome original songs (Mein huin Don & Khaike paan banaras waala - there was a version of it). Watch as a time pass but nothing else. DON'T watch if you have seen original Amitabh's movie - or else you'll be dissapointed.

just came back after watchin the movie...other guys who have said the movie is a poor show...they must be other superstars (amir, abhishek, hrithik...and heh heh...sunny deol [:)]) who are plain jealous with the stupendous performance of the DON! old don was a simple story told in a simple way..that was perhaps its beauty...no doubt...but a same story wd have made no sense...the new twists and turns have really made the movie a magical and novel experience...very stylish...very sleek and very "fulltoos!" SRK outdoes himself as DON and (DON)...its our nature to freeze older performances in gold...but with all due respects to AB, if SRK's don is a powerhouse, AB's don is duracell 1.5 AA!!! SRK is simply energy personified...amazing effort he has put into the make of the character! Boman...hats off! pinky was right...u are the most sexy character in the movie! a desi morgan freeman! pinky...i feel pity for u! a great act of confidence...but ...a 'kerchief doesn't cost much! kareena! anyone who said helen looked better...have surely not seen either of the movies! isha looks cute...i wish i was the don...when she comes on screen!:)) pawan...wonderful comeback! arjun! u are the best...trust me...u only lack a big daddy with a white goatie! kishoreda! i miss u!

Don is worth a watch movie; but not a great movie. The story and suspense remains the same but some changes in the second half. Since it is a remake of a same language film, it would have been better more twists change in locations etc in the first half as well. The chase to village was tooooo old fashioned, thought it helped the producers to cut cost. Shahrukh Khan excel in his performance and it only proves that why he is getting the highest pay and top initials all over the world. My only warning to Shahrukh is that he should not stick to his favourite directors and should try directors like Priyadarsan, Ram Gopal Varma etc. and he may also try to do repeat films with Subhash Ghai, Mani Rathnam, JP Dutta, Abbas Mastan etc. Kareena excelled in her small role, where Priyanka looks exactly like a doll in the role. For Priayanka, I suppose she need to learn the art of acting if she don't want to be a simple show piece. Even in the glamour department, Kareena outplayed Priyanka. So, Priyanka should be careful of her selecting co-stars as well, if she is in command to do so. For the film, Priyanka is of course a minus in the role. Arjun is fine and B. Irani did his role decently, still he could have bought some extra facial expressions would have helped. Music is fine, especially in line with the old numbers. The choreography is also fine. The sets are adequate, though the village set up could have been better. Screenplay/writing is one department the producers would have taken little more time and effort to make the venture a super success. Since it is a remake, only with the help of a good change in screenplay the movie could have been saved and the writers reached the half way. The director succeeded in getting best out of Shahrukh, which in itself worth a billion. But I cannot say the same about others. In short, the Directors shown his talent again and need some kind of final touching in his career. Having said that, Farhan did a decent job. Overall, the film is worth a watch to refresh your mind with a new Don, which possibly could be sequelled with new stories like Doom or Munnabhai. Even I have a feeling that a sequel would have worked wonders than a remake. So, what are you waiting for? If you are interested in watching the Don with Shahrukh...go for the film.
