Police - thief game yet again, but is it smarter than the first episode? I doubt. Bikes, Dhoom Machale Soundtrack, well crafted action scenes, new & notable theme: all these contributed to the success of its predecessor. But Dhoom 2 is a complete change. The robber in this movie is a hi-tech thief and he's doing thefts all over the world that too only most valuables. But nobody is behind him, except Mumbai Police. Aryan by Hrithik Roshan, Aishwarya comes as Sunhari, a fan of Aryan. Aryan got his own style in robbery. He only aims most valuable goodies, and is only active once or twice in an year. And for him robbery is an art and he uses most modern equipments for his operations. He's also skilled in fights and other stunts. Above all he's charming and a master of disguise. Aish as Sunhari, also done her best. Her costume and image suits an action heroine. But the director hides her from action scenes, not even a single instance is there to show her action skills except her intro. The story says Sunhari caught by Ali after a bike chase, but it is not shown. And all other characters, even ASCP Jai by Abhishek Bachan lacks role in the film. Ali by Uday Chopra was irritating than comic at times. Bipasha done a double role as Shonali & Monali, and too got nothing to do much. In short Dhoom 2 is some well shooted robbery scenes, and nothing much. Now about the songs and song sequences. Except Crazy Kiya Re I dont think other songs are even required in the movie. Ok, Dil Laga Na also somewhat fit to the movie. But for a film like Dhoom 2 which is a fast paced movie, I dont think this much songs are required. Hrithik and Aish performs well in the dance scenes. And on the other hand Abhishek, Uday and Bipasha not in their best. Action scenes are crafted well and they are comparable with Hollywood movie stunts. But there are a number of flaws in the script. Audience will be having lot of questions to answer after seeing each robbery scenes. Even though Aryan uses hi-tech equipments and it is shown as he's doing a lot of planning and all, all the robberies not carried out convincingly. Often audience can't find any logic in those scenes. And he's left with questions unanswered even after the movie is over. Climax which was one of the highlight of Dhoom, is nothing to talk much here in Dhoom 2. The climax is expected and nothing special happens at the end. Another side of the movie is love between Aryan and Sunhari. Both done well in those shots and the script too done well for those scenes. But Jai & Ali are never a match for Aryan. I got the question again, after committing a lot of international crimes only Mumbai Police is after Aryan? And how he manages to escape from all of them alone? And all those valuable things, what he's doing with it? At the end he is handing over the keys of a locker, but then, if he simply deposits these items in a locker, how he manages to find his money for his flights and for his costly equipments? There are a lot more to ask, but Dhoom 2 is not able to answer any. It is just another forgettable movie good for killing time, not a time pass - Dhoom Machale.

As expert Taran Adarsh stated, "Does Dhoom 2 live up to the high expectations?" The answer is indentical to Taran's answer which is YES. The Yash Raj sponsored film excels completely. Calling the movie fabulous is an understatement. Be it the plot, characters or the music, everything was top notch. If Hrithik looked great in Krrish, he will surely win a higher praise for his exceptional performance in the Dhoom sequel. Moreover, if Hrithik dominated the action sequences, then Abhishek and Uday Chopra managed to match up to his height. As for the performances, the highest and most dominant star of the movie was indeed Hrithik Roshan, imposed as Mr.Aryan in the film. Hrithik's sleek style and dancing sequences were praiseworthy. When comarping dancing, he can be called the best in the business. Moreover, his timing, physique and action sequences are never before seen in Bollywood today. In addition to the characters, Abhishek Bachchan also did an excellent job essaying the role of ACP Jai Dixit. However, he should have been put in atleast one more song. After listening to "Touch Me," it felt that Abhishek wanted to prove that he too was a stylish dancer. As for Uday Chopra, one feels that absolutely no one could have acted the role of Ali better than him. If he called for his "mummy" in the original "Dhoom," then this time around he will call every viewer's "mummy" to come see his performance in Dhoom 2! More importantly, he might be one of the many nominees for "Supporting Actor of the Year" and "Best Performance in a Comic Role" Now to the ladies. Aishwarya Rai and Bipasha Basu both enacted their roles with ease. Aishwarya Rai has proved yet again that she has that glamourous look to her. She looks stunning. On the other hand, Bipasha Basu also looks stunning in her sequences with Uday. Rimii Sen has a miniature role in the film. However, while she is their, she provides some humour. The only problem that I felt while watching the film was that it felt like her voice was dubbed. It just didn't seem like her voice. A good effort nonetheless. As a whole, Dhoom 2 will embark on a record breaking path and will surely be amongst the best films of the year. Yash ji has another hit to his bag. This will cement his reupatation even further. All in all, Dhoom 2 will win praise as days go by even if the people don't use their word-of-mouth. A sure-shot blockbuster!

It's time to "dhoom machale" once again as the most anticipated sequel of the year (if not the…
It's time to "dhoom machale" once again as the most anticipated sequel of the year (if not the decade) hits theatres near you. Dhoom resurrected Abhishek's career from way down in the doldrums in 2004 when youngsters all over India (and the rest of the world) patronised it - and that too in a major way. Fast bikes, explosive action scenes, hot babes Dhoom had it all. Dhoom 2 pretty much has the same formula - though on a far bigger scale. Everything about the film is HUGE. Its canvas, its stars, locations - Dhoom:2 has it all and will undoubtedly smash box office records. Mr A aka Aryan (Roshan) is a wily thief who masterminds the most impossible heists worldwide and leaves no trail besides an 'A' insignia at the scene of each crime. Like its predecessor, a no nonsense, ill tempered cop Jai Dixit (Abhishek) and his bumbling sidekick Ali (Chopra) are assigned the almost impossible task of bringing Mr A to justice with the aide of ACP Shonali Bose (a piping hot Bipasha Basu). Several foiled attempts at capturing Aryan go terribly wrong and he seems virtually unstoppable. That is, till the bandit sets eyes on femme fatale Sunheri (Rai) - a copycat thief and falls for her charms. Aryan is unsure of her motives and the rest of the plot deals with their sizzler of a relationship meshed with a crazy cat and mouse chase that requires the audience to suspend all belief and generally enjoy the joyride. Truly the game really isn't over! First things first. Dhoom:2 has nothing that even remotely resembles a plot. You're so busy feasting on the babes, the explosions, the designer gear, silly yet enjoyable humour, the torsos and the abs that you fail to realise that there really isn't much of a story or in fact any sort of logic unfolding on screen! But therein lies the beauty of this franchise. There's no art house boredom, no sleep inducing drama and no sickly romance. Don't look for logic buddy - because there isn't any! It's all just one big rollercoaster ride and it's fun fun fun! Of the performances D:2 is undoubtedly a Hrithik Roshan showcase all the way. He looks and dances like a dream, does daredevil stunts with equal panache and delivers the most inane line with the earnestness and honesty in a way that only he can. With him in the frame every single character pales in comparison. He's that good. Dhoom is one big experiment for Aishwarya as she tries to break away from her classic period beauty tag. She's required to look hot and if other actresses can do it, Ash makes sure she does it too - only several shades better. She looks so foxy that I think I stepped on a puddle of drool on my way out of the auditorium. Her performance is average though and her poorly written character only adds to her (and the audiences) woes. But her modelling experience comes in handy as she poses in the skimpiest of attire and dances as raunchily as she possibly can for us to come to the conclusion, that this woman can not only look beautiful she can also set temperatures soaring if the need arises. Her chemistry with Hrithik too is fantastic and one wonders why it took producers so long to cast them together! Uday is average at best and after a while begins to grate on your nerves, especially when you know that someone like Saif would have pulled his role off with flying colours. But I guess having family up in high places helps! Bipasha is good as the ACP but downright silly as the bimbette in Brazil and her double role act is one of the most pathetic twists in the tale. But she too looks jaw droppingly gorgeous and pulls off her bikini act and plunging necklines as comfortably as she always does. Unfortunately the weakest performance comes from Abhishek who seems awfully blasé throughout and pales to Hrithik in every single department. Even that likeable trademark swagger and unshaven look do not help him in stepping out of Hrithik's shadow. It's a shame really as the original Dhoom is the film that launched his fledgling career to the skies. Get your act together dude - you gave us KANK this year (a move that you made worth watching) - your laziness here is completely unpardonable be it in your unkempt look or your lazy performance! So...the question on everyman's lips is, does Dhoom live up to the hype? It does yes and will appeal to audiences starved of escapist entertainment. As I said earlier, there's no point in looking for logic...just go ahead, switch off and enjoy the ride with plenty of popcorn. Go DHOOM! - Jay Mamtora -

Frankly Speaking, Dhoom 2 is a so-so Sequel to Dhoom. The movie belongs completely to Hrithik and Aishwariya, and others seem to be just puppets. The much hype before the release may prove negative to the movie. It does not really stand up to the expectations. Do not expect something really great, except Hrithik's mind blowing stunts. The movie has been shot beautifully, with some super Action Sequences around the world. The look the movie has got is damn stylish. Hrithik looks Faboulous in each and every frame of the movie. Aishwariya has tried pretty well to prove her point. Has worked well on her shape. The rest, Abhishek Bachchan is good, nothing really exceptional to prove. Uday Chopra continues with the same Ali where he left Dhoom. Bipasha looks damn cool in the movie. Rimi Sen was not needed at all in the movie. But maybe, the director just wanted to continue the story from where he left Dhoom. In all, if you are looking for a new plot, you are advised not to watch the movie. But then, if you are looking for Style, Action, thats the point. The Make-Up Artist has done an EXCEPTIONAL work, probably, the best ever Hindi Cinema has ever experienced. Hrithik's disguises completely ROCK!!! He looks unidentifyable in every Disguise. The movie all together is pretty average WITHOUT Hrithik. Some may like the movie, some wont. But the budget of the movie itself makes it worth a watch. Hrithik fans, this ones a MUST WATCH for you all.
