Pratik Gandhi on playing an unpredictable OCD character in Hrithik Roshan-backed thriller

The vibrantly versatile Pratik Gandhi is onto his next acting challenge. He plays a man with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder in a film produced by Hrithik Roshan. Speaking about the film and his character, Pratik says, “Rajesh Krishnan is directing it. Hrithik and his cousin Eshaan Roshan’s HRx is producing it for Amazon as an original film. The story follows a group of robbers who, upon invading the house of a man with OCD, realise that it’s not the family but they themselves who must survive a night-long standoff with this unpredictable man with extreme OCD.”

Pratik is very happy with his cinematic journey so far. “My journey is a constant process of learning, and all these characters add immense value to me as a person and as an actor. I don’t want to sympathise with the character I want to empathise with him and create a human story rooted in emotions, one that is open to interpretation. My journey so far has been more than fulfilling, as I’ve been able to explore varied genres and unique characters in all the films I’ve done.”

 

He adds that he feels fortunate to have such opportunities. “I am truly happy and grateful to all the directors and producers I’ve worked with so far for not putting me in a bracket. They’ve given me opportunities to push myself, explore, and showcase a wide range of emotions and characters to the audience. My heart is full of gratitude.”
