Aamir Khan praises Prime Minister Narendra Modi for Jal Shakti initiative

Aamir Khan, who has been working for water conservation with his Paani Foundation for years, praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi after the latter launched Jal Shakti Abhiyan. It is an initiative that will focus on five aspects - rainwater harvesting and water conservation, renovating the traditional and other water bodies, drinking water sanitation, watershed development, reuse of water and recharging of structures, and intensive afforestation.

Aamir Khan took to Twitter to praise the campaign and wrote, "Narendra Modi Sir, the initiative taken up by you of making water the fundamental and primary issue for all of us is an extremely important step. Our wholehearted support is with you. JalShaktiAbhyan."

 

 

 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi praised Aamir Khan for creating awareness about water conservation. "Extremely valid points by aamir_khan on the need to conserve water and create awareness at the grassroots level. JanShakti4JalShakti," tweeted PM Modi.

 

On the work front, Aamir Khan will be next starring in Forrest Gump remake, Lal Singh Chaddha. The film is set for Christmas 2020 release.
