Dhanush to do cameo in Tanu Weds Manu sequel

The sequel to the Kangna Ranaut and R. Madhavan starrer Tanu Weds Manu has been embroiled in quite a bit of controversy with one of the film's financers staking his claim to the film's rights. However, director Anand L. Rai has stood firm asserting that the sequel to the film is very much on the books and happening.

 

Now we hear that the south star Dhanush, who made his Bollywood debut alongside Sonam Kapoor with the film Raanjhanaa, that was incidentally also directed by Rai, will be seen doing a cameo in Tanu Weds Manu sequel. However, though the details of Dhanush's cameo are sketchy, there is a possibility of him either doing small scene or appearing in a song.

As for the sequel itself, despite the battle over the rights, the team will begin shooting in September this year. Expected to be extensively shot in Lucknow, the sequel will once again feature R. Madhavan and Kangna Ranaut in the lead roles.
