The recently released Yash starrer KGF – Chapter 2 which hit screens last week on Thursday has been doing brisk business. After opening on a thunderous note, the collections of the film witnessed immense growth as the weekend progressed. Enjoying a four-day extended weekend KGF 2 was touted to become the highest grosser of recent times. Living up to the same, the film managed to rake in a staggering Rs. 193.99 cr in four days.

Not surprisingly, KGF 2 has overshadowed the previous releases to emerge as the highest opening weekend grosser post the pandemic. In fact, the business of KGF – Chapter 2 that is pegged at Rs. 193.99 cr has surpassed previous releases like the Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi which collected Rs. 77.08 cr, the SS Rajamouli directorial RRR which collected Rs. 75.57 cr, the Ranveer Singh starrer 83 which collected Rs. 47 cr, the Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi which collected Rs. 39.12 cr, Bachchhan Paandey which collected Rs. 36.17 cr and even the Vivek Agnihotri directorial The Kashmir Files which had collected Rs. 27.15 cr.
Currently, KGF – Chapter 2 still continues to draw in the audience in droves and is expected to see its business growth even further. As per trade predictions, KGF 2 will make it past the Rs. 200 cr by the end of its fifth day running and could see its collections near the Rs. 300 cr mark by the end of its first week.
