Both Hollywood releases grew well on Saturday to register good occupancy. Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw has benefitted most from the fact that there is no real competition around it. The action entertainer had started dipping during the weekdays but has managed to find some sort of numbers coming its way in the second weekend. On Saturday, it collected Rs. 3 crores* more and that has resulted in the overall collections to soar to Rs. 65 crores*. While it has managed to recover its costs, eventually it would end up making some profits for all involved.
As for The Lion King, it is enjoying its time in India for sure. The legendary tale has found audiences in its new age presentation as well and that can well be seen from the fact that Saturday collections more than doubled the numbers that had come on Friday.
The film managed to accumulate Rs. 2 crores* more and that has pushed its total to Rs. 146.76 crores. The film would be closer to the Rs. 150 crores milestone before the weekend is through and then will continue to bring in added bonus numbers before the end of lifetime. Blockbuster.
